The Children’s Ministry at our church is devoted to fostering the spiritual growth and biblical understanding of our youngest members. Through engaging, age-appropriate lessons, activities, and worship, we create a fun and welcoming environment where children can learn about God’s love and develop their faith. Our dedicated volunteers and teachers provide a safe space for kids to explore their beliefs, ask questions, and build a strong foundation in Christ. We emphasize the importance of community, helping children form meaningful friendships and feel a sense of belonging. The Children’s Ministry is committed to nurturing the next generation in their spiritual journey and guiding them to grow in their relationship with Jesus.
The Ladies Ministry at our church is a vibrant and supportive community dedicated to fostering spiritual growth, fellowship, and service among women of all ages. Through regular Bible studies, prayer meetings, and social gatherings, we aim to strengthen our faith and build lasting relationships. Our ministry also focuses on outreach, providing opportunities to serve both our congregation and the wider community. Whether through organizing charity events, mentoring younger women, or simply offering a listening ear, the Ladies Ministry strives to reflect Christ’s love in all that we do.
The Youth Ministry at our church is a dynamic and engaging community designed to nurture the spiritual growth of young people. Through a variety of activities such as Bible studies, youth groups, retreats, and mission trips, we aim to deepen their faith and understanding of God’s word. Our ministry provides a safe and welcoming environment where young individuals can build meaningful relationships and develop a strong sense of belonging. By encouraging participation in community service and outreach projects, we help our youth to live out their faith in practical and impactful ways. The Youth Ministry is committed to guiding the next generation in their journey with Christ.
The brotherhood is made up of young men as well as some senior citizens. We meet on the second Saturday of each month at 8:00 Am. Our goal is to help our community to be a better place to live by taking on small projects. This gives us the opportunity to show and share the love of Jesus Christ as we serve others. Mt. Gilead offers a robust music ministry with a diversity of traditional hymns coupled with other more contemporary music styles. Congregational hymns are the anchor of our service. Hymnal singing is rich in scripturally inspired lyrics. Special music offered by individuals, groups, youth, and praise teams gives the diversity offered each service unto the Lord in worship. This creates a well rounded worship service that may inspire the hearts of everyone. One of many references made in the Holy Word is sound for the ministry in music says;
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to one another with songs and psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,
The most important element to worship is, that music is not for entertainment but rather to lift our voices loud unto the Lord in praise and doing so with instruments of music. So that, it may stir the heart or provoke a yearning for worship. Our music program is still growing and with it grows joy. Mt. Gilead is a wonderful place for worship and everyone is invited to come and be with us and share that joy in Jesus Christ, Our Savior.
